Micah the Shepherd is portrayed shielding his eyes as he gazes toward the brilliant light that broke across the night sky when the angels appeared. In one arm he cradles a lamb, representing both his devotion as a shepherd and the gift he would bring to the manger. His figure tells the story of that holy night, when humble men were the first to hear the news of the Savior’s birth and responded with awe and faith.
